The Classic Traditional Specimen Lake

O f the four lakes (Hornbeam, Ash, Buckthorn and Sallow) Hornbeam is the biggest, lined with reeds along the marginal shelf which runs the entire perimeter of the lake it makes for great marginal Crucian or Rudd fishing. Several lily beds allow for some classic Tench fishing and along with two underwater islands/bars some real rod bending feeder fishing can be had for Bream. At 3 acres it suits its self to specimen fishing, stocked with Bream up to 8lb, Tench to 5lb, classic Rudd to 2lb, Crucian Carp to 2lb, and Perch to 2lb it is the perfect lake for those anglers looking for the bigger fish.
