The Tomlinson Family
Have been farming at Whissendine for the past 2 generations, with the third, building and managing Homeclose Fishery. The farm, which is Dairy and Arable, covers over 345 acres and is set in one of the most picturesque locations the East Midlands has to offer.

The farm is owned and run in partnership by Richard, Hilary and Martin Tomlinson. Richard and Hilary have lived on the farm for the past 40 years since they took over the farm from Richards Uncle who had owed the farm since 1948, They have two sons, Mark, who now lives in Cornwall with his family, and Martin the youngest son who started Homeclose Fishery.
Martin Tomlinson - Fishery Manager 
Responsible for the safe and smooth running of the fishery and its grounds, Martin has a National Diploma in Fish Management which he gained in 2004; from then on he has been developing Homeclose Fishery along side the family farm.
With work ranging from water quality control and stocking practices to landscaping/gardening and rearing fish in the fisheries own inside recirculation system and outdoor stock ponds Martin hopes that you have some of the best fishing possible in some of the best looked after and aesthetically pleasing surroundings.
Martin is a passionate all round fishermen who strongly holds to the traditional values of fishing, he enjoys both coarse and fly fishing.
